The genesis

This summer was an amazing summer great vacation, then a week or so later I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the Disney Social Media Moms on the Road Celebration in Phoenix. Such a huge thing for me and as an added bonus I got to hang out with DisBroad Patty for a day and a half.

Oh and I got to fan girl my favorite feline too.  Guys, I got twitterpated by a cat.  True story.  But I love her. She was more concerned about sleeping but oh well...You can tell how excited she was.

Ok, so aside from those particular things, I got inspired. Tracey Clark from Disney Sisters, had an amazing session speaking about mobile photography.  This of course piqued my interest.  I am forever talking pictures with my phone.  You name it, if it interests me I take a picture of it.  I got all sorts of fired up and learned ways to shoot outside the ordinary, and some invaluable editing lessons.  I'm also learning that while there is a lot of information about iPhone photography there is not as much about Android photography.  So I'm learning as I'm going. She also had one of my favorite quotes from the the day, "What you envision, may not always happen, Embrace it, that is where the magic is."  That's kind of become a daily mantra for me in areas even outside of photography.

Somewhere in the midst of all of the awesomeness that was that day. This idea reared it's head again and it began to germinate.  Believe me when I tell you that poor Patty had to listen to me obsess about it from Phoenix to the Shenanigans home.  That would be an hour, and then we hashed it out some more, and some more.  Even talked about it at dinner with Mr. Shenanigans that night.  Yikes.  Sorry Patty.  I stew.  I don't fly by the seat of my pants and just run with an idea.  That being said Patty was the one who helped me come up with the name.

I got on the plane from Phoenix with an idea and a plan.  Granted it took me awhile to get it together but it's here and I'm super excited.

I would also be remiss if I didn't thank Chris from On a Roll designs.  She was the mastermind behind my awesome logo, header and button.  Thank you DisBroad Amy for suggesting her services.  I Etsy convo'ed her and I think we kind of became fast friends from that first conversation.  The girl gets me, bless her heart.   She's also incredibly talented.  We've joked that I'm just going to put her on retainer because I keep thinking of things that I would like to have done.  Seriously amazing.  Seriously.

From one conversation about what I had in mind, where I wanted to go with the blog, what I wanted to say.  She gave me not one but four different images.  It was hard to decide.  Obviously I went with two of them.  But I love them all.

If you need any graphic design work, check Chris out, I promise you won't be disappointed.

So now that I've discussed ad nauseam  the origins and thanked the people who got me here, I think I'm ready to move on.  Thank you again for joining me on the journey.

    1. LOL thank you. I'm sorry you had to be on the receiving end of my obsessive thinking out loud. But thank you for the encouragement, it does feel like home already.
